Henry von Hunk is a stunning 10 month old sable German Shepherd with the most gorgeous coat. Per the volunteer who picked him up at the shelter: As I was driving into the parking lot I saw this beautiful coated shepherd walking through with some shelter staff. He was a sight for sore eyes. I had a feeling that will be Henry, the sweet dog I was there to pick up. The people at the shelter begged us to take him, he was such a favorite with everyone. They even kept him for over 5 weeks which is a very long time at this high kill shelter. Henry is a little shell shocked and shy, but once he knows you, he gives little kisses and presses up against you. He was found running the fields with 2 pit bulls and a Chihuahua. He does great with all dogs and even met a little dog in the lobby and just gave him a little sniff over and moved on. The staff was so in love with him, they groomed him for us so he would look his best. It was quite the scene trying to get out of that lobby. Everyone in the office had to come out to say good bye and give him kisses on the muzzle and nose. His coat is like silk, his big brown eyes just make you melt. He traveled very well in the back seat of the car, and pretty much snoozed all the way to our kennel. Henry will be an easy fit into any situation as long as his new owners give him a little time to come out of his shell. Trust us, it won't take long. He is about 10 mos old and still has some growing to do so he will be a pretty big boy as he is already a good size. You better come and meet thins hunk, he won't last long.
